Here is the list of 2018 event codes per CDC. the disease listed in this list are reportable and could be reported via syndromic surveillance module in EBIO-METRONICS EMR. The data if entered in patient’s chart could be retrieved from patient’s chart ” Syndromic surveillance data” under miscellaneous for individual patients or under reports in report section.

The data can be added by going to Admin portion of EBIO-METRONICS. Go to billing tab, then go to diagnosis codes. Search diagnosis codes in question and Edit them. click yes on reportable option and hit save. Once these diagnosis codes are used in patient’s encounter, that diagnosis and patient’s visit will be automatically marked for syndromic surveillance. That data can be send to your local health agencies like CDC via HL7 format. You can can download that file from patients chart or through syndromic surveillance report option. You need to sign up with your local health agencies and then have them guide you through how to submit that syndromic surveillance file.
EDIT & SAVE REPORTABLE DIAGNOSIS CODES AS BELOW
Search diagnosis in question in patient’s chart who have that diagnosis.
You can search all the syndromic data under miscellaneous tab
This will show all previous reportable diagnosis codes underneath this tab
You can also search all patients who have reportable diagnosis for certain period of time by going to MIPS console and clicking on Syndromic surveillance report. Hit save and the file will be saved as HL7 format. that file can be exported to local health Agencies via the means specified by that agency.
